Hello Everyone,
I are honored to be a part of this auction again. At WPPI, February 16-19, I will be volunteering my time to offer one 90 minute Mentoring Session and also offering a free copy of my new DVD, See the Light, $150 value on it's own. The auction is open now at Thirst Relief's website so bid NOW. I would love to spend 90-minutes mentoring you on anything to do with photography, you can ask anything from my over 20 years in fashion photography and or wedding photography; lighting, inspiration, business, etc. This session can be at WPPI, on the phone, or if you are in Miami, come by my office.
The auction will close on Sunday, February 1st at midnight EST.
When someone is outbid they will be notified by email.
I would be honored on whatever amount is bid, it's all for a good cause that is the goal here.
In three years time we have we have taken 100,000 people long term sustainable clean water solutions for an average of $3.85 a person!
Here’s to a successful auction for people around the world!

Carson's first movie in a theater.
Alison and I were proud parents yesterday when we took our oldest son Carson (3) to his first movie in a theater. He did great. Made it through all the previews and the movie without saying a word, he was just amazed at the size of everything. 2 thumbs up!!!

Livebooks Webinar on Tuesday, November 11th
I am excited to announce that I will be on Livebooks Webinar series next Tuesday, November 11th, 2008 Time: 2:00 PM EST (11am PST) Duration: 1 hour.
Carlos Baez "See the Light-Passion, Fashion, and Inspiration"
While I was speaking on this topic at Pictage's Partner Con in Los Angeles this past September, my good friend J. Sandifer asked me to participate in this webinar series for Livebooks. I've known J. now for 7 years, one of the nicest guys in the business, and a big reason I am a Livebooks client.
Feel free to log on and listen, and there will be some time for you to ask me questions at the end. I look forward to sharing with all of you as much as I can from my 23 years in the industry.
Here is little of what I will be talking about:
It takes more than numbers to keep yourself going in the wedding market, it takes deep rooted passion, knowing your style; where you came from and where you want to go. Don't end up as a photographer having a “break down” due to lack of inspiration. Finding and listening to your inner voice can keep you going with as much energy and vigor as you did the first time you picked up a camera. Today's wedding photography market is competitive, and shooting with available light is simply not enough to separate your imagery in the market place. With many photographers' images looking the same, how can you stand out? Fashion photography is consistently molding what the savvy client is expecting. With the use of many types of lighting, your images can stand out and bring a new edge to your style.

October 8th, My 44th Birthday
We had a cute little party at our home gallery with family and friends.
Alison made a very yummy cake, she's the best.
Catalina and Jason gave me dulce de leche ice cream from Cold Stone that went perfect with the cake.
It's fun how when you get older, with kids, that birthdays mean something big again, at least to the boys. Carson thought it was his birthday.
Alison's yummy creation.
Who got me that funny balloon. Carson wanted a Batman birthday.
Jason and Catalina, partners in our biz.
They know I love purple.
The boys with daddy.
Funny mustache.

Cameron's Baptism
This past Sunday was a very special day for our son Cameron. He was baptized at our church, Trinity Episcopal in downtown Miami.
Cameron didn't cry during the baptism, he waited until the Dean walked him around the church, Cameron only has a 20 foot radius that he can be away from his mommy until his"crying" alarm goes off.
We picked this day because the North American Guild of Change Ringers were holding their national meeting at our church this weekend and everyone was serenaded by the beuatiful sounds of the bell tower. Here's the video, and also the article on the cover of the Miami Herald.
Alison and I used to be part of the bell ringers in our tower, until our 2 little boys came into our lives. Luckily others stepped in to fill our spots.
Cameron waiting his turn.
Alison and I trying to keep the boys attention.
