WPPI Thirst Relief Benefit Auction, Starts Tomorrow!

Hello Everyone,

I am excited to be a part of Thirst Relief International Mentoring Session Auction.

At this years WPPI, March 16-19th, many great photography educators will be volunteering our time to offer one 90 minute Mentoring Session each. You don't have to be present at WPPI to take advantage of the mentoring session.

Mentoring sessions will go up for bid starting Saturday, February 9th, at 10 EST, on an auction at
http://www.fotoverite.com/joomla/index.php . The site will have a Thirst
Relief banner that people can click on that will take them directly to the
auction site.

The auction site will have my mentoring session posted with details about my session and a link to the auction. Bidders will need to register in order to place a bid on mine and others mentoring sessions.

The auction that we're setting up has an end time.
However, when the auction time is supposed to close, if there is a bidding
war happening over my mentoring session then the auction will stay open
until the bidding war ends. This is very important feature of the auction so keep the bids coming!

The auction will take place for three days from February 9-February 12th. All times on the auction are based on Eastern Standard Time.
Auctions will end on the 12th (unless my mentoring session is having a
bidding war.in which case my auction will end when people stop bidding).
Once the auction closes, you, the bidder who won my mentoring session will need
to go to www.thirstrelief.org and make a
donation for the amount in which you won my session. When you are making
your donation you will need to enter my name, Carlos Baez, in the "on behalf of" space so that it shows up as a contribution made for the WPPI Thirst Relief
Benefit.

Whatever you would like to talk about we can, so bid with your heart and wallet, it's all for a great cause. And don't forget, you can bid on any of the photographers that you like, not just me.

Our 5th Wedding Anniversary

January 18th was our 5th wedding anniversary. Alison and I have been so blessed with many things these past 5 years. Our boys Carson and Cameron, great family and friends, and a great church in Trinity Episcopal Cathedral of Miami.

Here are a few images of our day.
Trinity Cathedral.

Us on the metro mover.

Our toast.

My portrait of Alison.

My father Ramon, who past away on April 1st,2005. He would have loved our boys so much. He wore that corduroy jacket from 1970 over his tux, due to the fact it was 36 degrees during our outdoor reception in Miami.

The Taylors

The Taylors have been clients of ours for close to 10 years now. This is their family portrait this year for Christmas. It's always tough with a football players schedule. Jason Taylor plays for the Miami Dolphins, ok, no remarks on their year this year.

I wore a shirt from Iceland that says "66" on it, that is 66 degrees north latitude. But when Jason Taylor's football number is 99, that wasn't a good idea. This is what happened.

Yes, Halloween

Ok, so there have been a few things have been missed on this blog due to our busy schedule with family and work, but we catch up when we can.

Yes, we do silly pictures like all other families, as you can see below. We know the boys will want to kill us when they are older, but hey, we humiliate ourselves too.

Cameron barely fit in that pumpkin.

If you don't know what characters we are, then you don't have kids. For those who don't, we are Toy Story.

Miami Pug, Christmas (12-16)

Better late then never.

The Miami Pug Holiday Party was held at our home. As you can see, we are definitely a family affair down here. Lot's of children, lot's of food, and lot's of laughs.

Thank you everyone for coming. I know not everyone is in the photograph, but a few had to leave early, sorry we missed you.

My wife Alison wants to thank everyone also for bringing so much food, we had left overs for days. Our son Carson had so many kids to play with, he was thrilled. See you next year, or at WPPI too.

Lorena and Gil (12-8-07)

Lorena and Gil just make you laugh all the time. Even though it was a 4 day event, it felt like you just were hanging out with friends, no stress. From the barbecue and rehearsal dinner at the Trump Sonesta and Grande in North Miami to the wedding and brunch at Maralago in Palm Beach, it never skipped a beat. The wedding was spectacular!

It's always nice to be acknowledged but nothing tops a compliment from Donald Trump,"You did a wonderful job!".

Studio Time

Here are a few images when I was in the studio last week shooting catalog for one of my fashion clients. Some times it takes more then one fan.
